Wow, can't believe I found a contender for "worst horror movie of the decade" so quickly after seeing The Shroud by Cronenberg just yesterday.. I am sure critics and smart people loved this though, unfortunately I am neither.

An amusingly silly, slightly overlong offbeat dark comedy with infusion of an absurdly fun sense of humor and sound design and visual flair that contribute so much. I rented this film a couple months ago but couldn't finish it due to lack of interest and it just felt like one of those films which rely on being weird for weirds sake. Now that it's streaming on Shudder, I decided to give it another chance. Turns out it's definitely an arthouse film that feels quite accessible. It's completely bizarre and pretentious but it really won me over as I begin to realize there's something oddly captivating about following the lives of utterly dysfunctional individuals and I get strangely connected to the narrator. The dialogue and the performance art are so pretentious, but so are the characters, so it makes perfect sense. The runtime could've been shortened, otherwise this was really solid.
