Storyline here is pretty familiar, a new big-bad appears and the boys have to take him down and save Saori/Athena from certain doom. The soundtrack is also what one would come to expect from the series. The animation here is on point, but I still think the animation in the previous entry, "Legend of Crimson Youth", has just a slight edge over it. I must say that the pacing is probably better in this than any of the other Saint Seiya movies. The film doesn't drag on and on, yet also doesn't feel like it's moving at a breakneck pace. Things move briskly but everything is still given enough time to feel weighty and important. Overall, this is a very by-the-numbers entry in the Saint Seiya franchise. it doesn't try to do much new with the formula. However, it's got a solid production behind it, and it managed to be entertaining enough without overstaying it's welcome.
