Other than the intentional food tampering, this is hands down the most accurate portrayal of working as a waiter ever. It’s definitely a hyperbolic combination of all the best and worst parts of the job, but it’s accurate nonetheless. The only thing missing is the line cooks dealing coke out of the kitchen’s exit door. I saw more cocaine being used and sold in restaurant kitchens than I ever did the kitchen staff intentionally tampering with food; that shit is the fastest way to get the attention of the law, and when you’re dealing Tony Montana-sized mountains of cocaine out of the kitchen, you do *not* want the law’s attention.
So much talent in this movie. know I'm just getting around to it almost 14 years later, but still cool to see how far much of this talent has come over that time period.
Really enjoyed this. It captures the frustration of coming into your 20s at the time of stagnant wages and lack of opportunity so well. Surprised I’ve not seen this until now. Right up my wheel house
I would've probably enjoyed it if I had watched it when I was still in my teens. Alas, I found this movie to be very poor. It felt like a complete waste of time. Vanessa is so hot though! That alone is worth a few points lol
Ryan Reynolds, Andy Milonakis, Dane Cook, Luis Guzman . They don’t make movies like this anymore maybe one day we can return to making great films such as these.
