I recommend Minutaglio and Davis's brilliant book - https://niklasblog.com/?p=21178 - about Leary, which brings far more context than the main person here. On the other hand, this is *her* love story with Leary (and others). It's interesting at best, sloppy at worst. I firmly recommend digging into the director's prior efforts, especially 'The Thin Blue Line' and 'Wormwood'.
