The postwar period of the Spanish Civil War that did not really end in 1939, and that was told from the male point of view. However, this vindication of the feminine gaze, of the resistance of a group of women in a town where men continue to fight, is narrated with little efficiency. The script falters between portraits of underdeveloped characters (Adela) and scenes that are too long and not very explanatory. Poor sound and an unnecessarily underlining direction contribute negatively to a movie with better intentions than results.
