La verdadera historia de un despertar espiritual nacional a principios de la década de 1970 y sus orígenes dentro de una comunidad de adolescentes hippies en el sur de California.

Probably one of the best Christian films ever produced because of its ability to respect the art of cinema and produce a truly entertaining film apart from the message it shared. Seriously impressed with the overall quality of this film. Worth watching for all audiences as it portrays an honest depiction of the historical Jesus movement and the contexts in which it took place.
A rarity in the world of faith-based movies - Jesus Revolution is well-made and interestingly written, without ladling on sappy sentimentality. Christians will get more from this than non-believers, although there is a chance this will do much to help non-Christians on their spiritual journey.
This was not the movie that I was expecting. I thought it was going to be more of a comedy about the differences between the Church and the Hippie community. Kelsey Grammar almost immediately bought into their way of life and nothing much more was said about how they had very different views. The love interest between Joel Courtney and the gorgeous Anna Grace Barlow was nice but predictable. The end wrapped up with some real live footage of the greedy tele-evangelists of the day that realized that big money could be made from these huge crowds.
I had been wanting to see this for a few years now and finally chose it for my weekly movie swapping with Joe. I figured this would be something I’d enjoy and sure enough I definitely did. It was a bit different than I might’ve expected. It’s unlike a lot of other Christian movies that are made. This was really well cast with some pretty solid performances. The writing was really good and consistent. I like the way they told the true story and gave glimpses into each character. I found it to be very intriguing and engaging. It’s also quite entertaining and a lot of fun to watch. It’s a bit on the long side but it’s never boring. I really enjoyed this one and can see myself buying it and rewatching it again down the road someday. * Movie swapping with Joe
The cast is amazing. Every single role was well chosen. The script is entertaining knowing where to begin, when to slow it down, when to end. I liked that they showed the human part of these preachers having differences due to their points of view. Enjoyable and well-made religion based film.
