[IFFR '25] Directly embracing folk horror, the story connects with the tradition of nature worship and mysticism of the Sikkim region, which is part of the Himalayas. The first part of the film establishes some concepts about social classes that are liberated upon entering the forest, where most of the film takes place. The natural setting eliminates social barriers to establish a greater balance. The director manages to create an atmosphere of unease on this journey, which is too long, in which more and more dangers seem to lurk, and uses all the traditional elements, from hallucinogenic mushrooms to disturbing signs, nightmares or demonic possessions.
