Watchable but unremarkable. I won’t be asking for a second date.

As a fan of both You're the Worst (the second base comedy of the last few years, after Fleabag) and The Good Place I thought I would give this movie a spin. The movie is about what you'd hope for - the leads play characters that are similar to Gretchen and Chidi and thus the movie has the feeling of coming home to old friends. The story is alright and everything is wrapped up in a tidy 82 minutes. The ending of a relationship is never as simple as you'd hope it could be. Here we see what is really a best case scenario for how the process can go. Yes, it'll be messy and there may be backtracking or regrets, but you need to go through that process to get to the other side. Ultimately this may have resolved a little too cleanly, but going through the experience with them was very relatable for anyone who has exited a long term relationship.

Cute and watchable independent movie. Nothing more to give or remember after two days. Enjoyable 80 minutes during dinner time.
