absolutely floors it from the start with this almost feeling like The Wicker Man if it cut out the opening portions and didn't even bother with the possibility that the townspeople weren't going to be terrorizing the leads at every opportunity. makes sense as this opens with our characters having already been in Litan for some time but the dream sequence/potential premonition into the endless mess that unfolds was so crazy after a bit. a bit of a tormented viewing experience lmao.
