Like 3D images of a colonoscopy: dark, brown and deep, though actually experiencing it would be more pleasurable. Set in 1961, this is the true story of a group of Italian speleologists who explored a cave in Calabria, which turned out to be the 3rd deepest in the world at the time. The whole "world's 2nd largest ball of string" vibe, strange parallels to the life of an elderly shepherd and the total absence of dialog made this film more of a uphill struggle than a walk in the park.
