NY Times Best movies on Netflix June 2025
A top 100 movie for me at this point, and maybe a top 5 documentary? Stunning, beautiful, heart-rending. The most humanistic portrayal of loss, love, and acceptance I can think of.
Unique and touching documentary about a brilliant person as everything shows. 7.0/10
[Netflix] Death assumed as an inexorable fate is more difficult to assume when it feels close. That is why this predisposition of the father to be portrayed in his many fictitious deaths is moving. There is an intention of the director not to repeat the process of losing his mother, a support character. This confrontation with loss (memory and loneliness) through humor is actually an anticipated grieving process.
