A reasonably fun and compelling (if a bit overlong and repetitive) supernatural folk horror. Apparently, this highest grossing Indonesian horror is based on a viral Twitter thread which I haven't read and not planning to. A film with so much buzz surrounding it, should really be a lot better than it actually is. First thing that really bothers me is how they show their cards too early by revealing the creature and ruining some of the horror. Although, I really dig the mythology this film's built upon and the production side of things is genuinely admirable, like I said it's a bit overlong and bordering on the convoluted at points. Even within the runtime of 2+ hours, it’s still unable to flesh out the characters properly, making the big emotional moment feels unearned. I'm not sure if all the ideas were pulled off successfully, but it definitely has some decent moments and good creep factor.

Story is too fast like you're watching a scene and then you're already teleported into next scene.
