I never was a fan of Forrest gump though Hanks acted really well in that one. Laal Singh Chadda - the entire army battle scene was the only thing I loved about the film.. last one hour was literally a snooze fest. the constant humming after every sentence made me want to punch amir khan.. instead of playing an autistic person amir khan looked like a clown with weird eye rolling and expressions. horrible
Faithful, Heartwarming, Likeable Laal Singh Chaddha is a sincere and worthy remake that stands tall due to its stellar performances, delightful cinematography, and winsome music. From a person who hasn't seen Gump, I can assure you this film easily connects you with its earnest and warm emotions. The cinematography is top notch and Pritam's compositions are worth your time. However, my biggest complaint would be the sluggish second half which could have been trimmed 20mins short for an impactful conclusion. The film has lots of moments which evokes wide range of emotions in the audience. Advait Chandan's brave attempt to adapt this immensely popular film is laudable. The starcast is stunning. After 4 years of dedication , Aamir is back again. His facial expressions and style may be maddening for many Gump fans but in general, for me he is exceptional. His hard work and dedication show on the screen which is praiseworthy. Kareena truly fits into the role of Rupa, and even though her character development is inconsistent she delivers brilliant support. Naga Chaitanya's apperance is refreshing and his debut bollywood performance was effective and improved. Mona Singh as Aamir's mother is beautiful in her act and Manav Vij too add good performance too. Overall, if we see how the context of this remake is carefully calibrated in terms of our diverse cultural context, it delivers a heartwarming, earnest film with beautiful performances but certainly leaves you unsatisfied due to its slow second half. The film deserves a watch, courtesy to the hardwork put in and the refreshing appeal it believes to share. A good hindi film, not an exceptional one. Check my page www.instagram.com/stream.genx
It is having the same forest gump magic so emotional, heartwarming and likable
First of all, I don't like this hindi accent. Moreover, I hate Karina Kapoor. Aamir Khan's expression was irritating. It should be more different from previous movies. And this movie is way to long. After watching the original movie that long remake movie gets boring. Although a long movie but the magic is missing. So yeah, 4 out of 10
Movie Doesn't have that magic, the screenplay is everywhere and is very much grounded and lacks magic The orginal is magical because everything is a coincidence. Amir Khan overacts in some scenes the comedy doesn't work out Naga Chaitanya's characters is not at all written well and poor acting from Naga Chaitanya, the music is good but Kareena is just there same old nothing special. the kid who plays Laal is great. IT'S A ONE TIME WATCH DESCENT FILM !!!!
