Kick-Ass 2 falls short in its attempt to emulate the original's unique blend of ultra-violence and ironic humor.

Promise me you're done with a life of crime?” Finishing the year of with this chaotic but hilarious sequel , while it might lack in plot wise and I do think the writing could of better in parts but I still think this kick ass follow up is great it’s just so much fun and also think it got reviewed abit too harshly and deserves better. Even though I do prefer the first film I still Really enjoyed this one so much the comedy is actually better here mostly because of RED MIST or should I say “No, Red Mist was my superhero name. Henceforth I'll be known as The Motherf***er!” I loved him in the first kick ass movie but omg he lost his mind but it was so much fun seeing him transform into the motherfucker!. The Motherfucker starting his own Supervillain team the “Toxic Mega Cunts” to get Revenge on Kick ass for killing his father definitely was a fun idea but he did go a little to far like when he went after the Nightbitch a member of the kickass team which we’ll talk more about in a second but yeah what he was going to her was sick even for him lol, Mother Russia was for sure the other standout from the group she was a absolute beast the way she just destroyed a dozen police cars on her own her battle with Hit-Cool was fucking class aswell. Right the good guys team was “Justice forever” if they couldn’t get any cooler they had freaking Jim Carrey playing the role of there leader Colonel Stars and Stripes he does so well in certain roles of disguising himself I literally had no idea it was him at first but then he as certain personality traits that are so memorable and iconic this was different from him role gutted he wasn’t in too much of it though. Kick ass himself and Hit-Girl was fantastic in the roles and DAM Aaron Taylor Johnson got absolutely shredded for this sequel massive difference from the first kick ass, Hit-Girl is still my favourite character she’s such a badass the sequence where she beat the gang up then rushed home on the bike was so freaking awesome ,her lines was hilarious at time’s aswell I did like her personal story with her struggling, between her Hit-Girl identity and normal life, some parts could of been done better but the dance scene was good ,and the part where the Girls was showing her Union j seriously didn’t know they was that popular lol thought it would of been one direction but that was a cringy but funny part. The only slight negatives I would give this sequel the main one kick ass and hit girl being pushed together romantically kind of eww they really felt more of a brother and sister type of relationship why does every film have to the relationship route found that part to come out of nowhere. Also the character actor changes for Todd and Marcus don’t get me wrong Todd was kind of funny just copying kick ass costume and similar name but I still just hate character changes but they was still pretty good either way. Okay this review took way too long in the end so I’ll just end it here haha by saying kick ass 2 personally didn’t disappoint me whatsoever and I wished they finished it of with a trilogy and a Hit-Girl solo film I’m giving this one a 9/10.
