Managed to deliver most of the characters' quirks. Acceptably squeezed the plot to a comfy 2-hour duration. Decent action sequences. Although, the comedy part was more miss than hit.

It was way more entertaining to watch this movie than reading 30+ chapters of the original manga. The cast is good, visuals and music are great as well. I caught some John Wick vibes, although it's only one common thing - the main hero is a killer. Comedy moments weren't so funny and looked kinda silly. Nevertheless, the action scenes are quite decent, and if you want to spend 2 hours chilling - The Fable is not a bad choice for your movie night.

Pretty good action movie. Story has been done before: super assassin trying to lay low, but getting involved in troubles. The fight scenes are really good, the character is interesting, even if the gimmick of not knowing what real life looks like is not really used in a natural way, it's still funny. In the beginning there are these weird things, supposedly showing the way the character is thinking during fight. It's a miss, they're pretty annoying, but thankfully do ot reappear later in the movie. Other characters are mostly caricatural yakuzas, and the even more caricatural love interest. Almost nothing really original in the whole story but it's well done and enjoyable to watch. One good point for the comedy scenes with the hero's drawings, really funny.
