Silly horror movie that was less a slasher and more of a bad comedy. It spends a lot of time demeaning rural religious people but the lampoons aren't clever and there aren't any entertaining kills to save the dull atmosphere. Instead it's just occasionally disturbing and actually quite annoying.

6.5/10. As far as inbred horror goes, this is a pretty good one, but the movie is quite slow and secluded to its own little stories, sometimes playing to its positive aspects. All the creepy slowness and weirdness of its strange family and characters are perfectly played. The story is a simple one, much like the family.

A group of young people run afoul of some backwoods old timers when they're stranded on their Island. It's a tried and true formula, but this one has some interesting twists along the way. It's not as conventionally scary as most horror flicks, but it's fairly twisted and creepy. It also helps that there's a lot of likable actors.

If you like your inbred horror movies silly this is for you. Could have been more extreme but it's still damn weird.
