If this were a movie made as part of a college course, it would be considered excellent. But this is just a run-of-the-mill indie movie, and it isn't very good. Bernadette Peters is the only reason that this is even remotely watchable, and even her sizable talents can't save it from mediocrity. Some of the secondary actors..... yikes.
