Conceptually good and with a neat twist. Unfortunately, the script is patchy and so the film isn't as good as it could have been.

It's an ok horror movie, but sadly the horror was quite underwhelming. I got pretty confused by the twist and would love to actually have more information to solve this mystery myself first. The twist in my opinion was too rushed.

Eli is Very Meh at best.

A real chore in it's opening 80 minutes, Eli struggles to keep you engaged during its mediocre at best build up. For further insult to injury, Eli does so little with it's premise after it finally lifts the curtain you'll immediately wonder if you just wasted your time. A very good idea squandered by a nonsensical, incoherent intro/middle, and then an overly rushed reveal/wrap up. Background viewing worthy, but definitely don't dedicate all of your attention. Knowing Netflix, this'll probably have a sequel in time for next Halloween 😆
