Sinopsis
En 1965, durante una misión secreta en Berlín oriental, tres jóvenes agentes del Mossad (servicio de inteligencia israelí) capturan a un importante criminal de guerra nazi, antiguo médico conocido por sus sádicos experimentos durante la II Guerra Mundial en el campo de Birkenau. La misión no salió como estaba planeada, pero ellos se convirtieron en héroes. Sin embargo, treinta años después, en 1997, algo sucede que cambia de nuevo la versión de aquella misión.

The Debt is a suspenseful thriller, but fails to sustain its mystery and intrigue. The plot, told in present day and through flashbacks, centers around a Mossad operation during the 1960s to extract a Nazi war criminal. However, the present day section, about how that operation is coming back to haunt the operatives, is underdeveloped. Still, all the actors give pretty solid performances; especially Jessica Chastain. Yet ultimately The Debt is an unsatisfying film, and doesn’t provide a very compelling story.

The inconsistency of Worthington's accent is a bit distracting, but Wilkinson, Mirren, & Csokas deliver excellent performances, and Hinds is heart-breaking as the elder "David." More than anything, though, I'm curious to see the original Israeli film, Ha Hov, upon which The Debt is based.
