Total crap. Nothing more to say :-/
I had some fun with this movie, but don't get me wrong, it's terrible. flex hits the nail on the head, though I would contest Cage's "4 facial expressions". He only has 3 in real life and he's not that good an actor to method his way to a 4th :) I watched it with my two late teens (son and daughter) and and some of the set pieces have moments that are enjoyable, but some are terribly executed (woeful CG). It's worth watching for the gun fight in the bedroom which we uniformally agreed was both ridiculous and cool. @sean - I hear you. Getting really tired of the 3D money shots; so jarring in 2D. As for 3D in general? I think it has it's place however, that place isn't any film that has an explosion in it. I am dying to seeing Werner Herzogs' Cave of Forgotten Dreams in 3D, and the idea of having to flatten it at all seems a crime.
Easily the best movie of 2011
Screw it, we'll do it with cgi Fun, Nicholas Cage being Nicholas Cage. William Fichtner is really good in this, David Morse deserves more screentime. First Billy Burke movie I'm watching, he's pleasant. Who is Amber Heard?
LOL, if you don't take this movie too seriously it's decent to watch, you just know it could've beeen a lot better with a better script. The actors all do fine but it felt like every 10 minutes a "Haha" should've been added to the end of their lines.
