★★½☆☆ (2.5/5) A slight step up from The Tribe, mostly because it leans into the campiness instead of trying to be cool. Still very low-budget sequel energy, but it has a bit more fun with itself. Not great, just mildly entertaining if you’re already a fan.

This third installment of the series, _Lost Boys: The Thirst_, is a solid and thrilling adventure. The story follows vampire hunter Edgar Frog who’s hired to save the brother of a famous novelist from a potential alpha vampire. Corey Feldman leads the cast and delivers another satirical and campy performance. This film, unlike the last one, makes a concerted effort to tie into the original _Lost Boys_ and extends the mythology of the series. Additionally, the special effects are quite good and create some new and interesting vampire kills. Though the low-budget nature of the film shows through at times, _Lost Boys: The Thirst_ is ambitious and full of action.
