This film has an unsettling ambiance. It treads in the unresolved tragedies of the past and unpacks deeply imbedded trauma. It considers the way of the spider lilies (that mark the path to hell) and the lavender which asks for hope in remembering. This movie It is incredibly well written and performed. The characters are as complicated as their lives. This is drama at its finest. I’ve rewatched this a few times. It operated on a tight budget but the artistry in the movie is breathtaking. I give this film a 9 (powerful and hauntingly beautiful) out of 10.
