A woman recovering from mental problems is convinced she has witnessed a murder in the abandoned house across the street, but nobody believes her. For a film that I didn’t expect too much from, it's rather enjoyable. This psychological horror thriller certainly delivers. It's got spooky atmosphere and Hammer vibe to it. Most of the twists are quite obvious but it still manages to shock you with its surprisingly brutal climax. Elizabeth Taylor gives interesting performance and I like Billie Whitelaw's subtle sinister look.
