I don’t know, I quite regret watching this and I’ve watched literally every gay movie out there. There’s nothing of real substance here, you know. Nothing drawing you to the movie.
the title font, sprinkles, Milly Chance song, striped shirt, Wreck This Journal, photo montages, John Green narrative it's all so deeply 2014 plus twink Louis Hofmann i would have been obsessed
While watching the movie I was pretty disappointed, but afterwards I changed my mind: This is not a gay romance. This is a movie about a person being in love with another person and dealing with issues in that relationship and in the family. The fact that the romance is a homosexual one is merely a side effect. With that change of „expectation management“ I think the movie is okay.
I was not fully happy with everything in this movie, but I liked that it was a drama so that it did not end too well. Acting was fine and quite real at times. I felt with Phil but at the same time didn't understand all of his reactions. It did not feel too real at times but still, great to see an Austrian movie for once dealing with homosexuality – and quite well I might add.
