Sorry, but I found it uncomfortable to watch most of the time. I don’t know if that’s what the movie was trying to achieve. I mean, what the hell is going on with the people there, especially the young ones? It’s all so harsh, cold, grim, and dreary. Somehow, everyone seems intent on hurting everyone else… I have no idea. The actors aren’t granted a single moment of harmony or peace. And I don’t get why the movie is tagged as a comedy on Prime, either. Oh, and animal lovers probably won’t get their money’s worth either. At least the beautiful landscape shots make up for some of it, and the protagonists’ acting was great. Overall, I found it very sobering and depressing. I’d rather go back to watching two hockey rivals fall in love with each other.

Tale as old as time, and well told. The themes are very well handled. But this film could have been great with better-paced editing! Avoid if you can't stand characters who refuse either to say or act upon what they're thinking.

This film made me nervous. As a gay man, I felt I was watching not a coming of age story nor my own story of dealing with conflictual feelings regarding my sexuality as a teen...I just felt as though I was watching some perv's excuse to film pubescent boys wrestling with their shirts off. What could have been a beautiful, sensitively told tale of coming to grips with homosexuality ended up being David Hamilton soft core porn with children.
