This is sadly a poor follow up to the first movie Iron Sky. But its still fun to watch. If you have a choice - watch or re-watch Iron Sky instead of this one.

Nazi's, dinosaurs, aliens, the Vrill Society, the Hollow Earth, Agartha, Hitler riding a T-Rex... what's not to like right? Much like the first Iron Sky, this movie could have been amazing... If it weren't written by a bunch of 12-year olds.

Got to love all the times this and the original movie call it the Dark Side of the Moon while showing the Nazi base in full direct sunlight. Obi is definitely the most annoying protagonist I've ever seen in a movie. Utterly dislikable. Getting lost using a map and compass while trying to navigate to the place with the giant plasma beam shooting into the sky...? Coz that would be hard to navigate in the direction of. Definitely far inferior to the extreme amusement of the first movie. A shame. But it was still an ok watch. Malcolm and Sasha were pretty fun. Especially right near the end.

Terrible, unfortunately. It even stars Tom Green, who is like the hallmark for awful films. Udo Kier has the only two good (parts of) scenes in the entire film. One is near then end and has just fantastic line delivery that could only be so striking in German German, and the shot is ridiculous in the best way. Unfortunately, the film is all riding on the back of that thin Jurassic gimmick, and Udo is the only one with the strength to salvage any of it. Sasha was the only likable character who has much any screen time. Whereas _Iron Sky_ was a satire of American political idiocy (modern Republicanism, pre-Trump), this film embodied what had already happened to American blockbusters, _a la_ Kathleen Kennedy. There's a certain middle school philosopher that said something about it. I have no idea about Lara Rossi's other acting credits or chops, but her 'Obi' is one of the most uncharismatic and unlikable protagonists I've ever seen. She's a prick to everyone around her for no reason. Jyn Erso had a reason to be distrustful and disengaged. Obi is just a bitch. Tom Green exists to lampoon the Apple/Steve Jobs cult, but, like every other reference, it was as good as reheated Taco Bell tacos (anyone who's never eaten a corn tortilla taco—they get soggy, and are basically inedible after 20 minutes). The jokes were all bad, and well past their shelf life. If you want a spiritual sequel to the OG _Iron Sky_, watch _Just Look Up_. It can't manage to be as fun, as it's about us all staring oblivion in the face and governments and society not reacting, but it tracks with the throughline.

This is silly. Even sillier than "Laser Mission", which was well in the running for the worst movie ever. Bulwer-Lytton must be writhing in his grave.
