Ned Kendall (Ben Mendelsohn) es un escritor al que su hermana Sally (Rachel Griffiths) le pide que regrese al hogar, en un área remota y aislada de Australia, para despedirse de su padre, que está moribundo. Una vez en casa, Ned comienza a tener recuerdos de su infancia, de cuando jugaba con su bella hermana gemela, tan hermosa como la luz del día. There are essentially two movies at play here - one unfolding in real time and one that happened twenty years ago but it still being felt in present time. Sometimes I think movies that slowly reveal something that happened in the past get a little more credit than they deserve as there is some low-hanging intrigue for the audience. That said, the story is pretty good and the acting is excellent.
