(FILMAFFINITY)

Richard got messed over. Kilmer was an ass. Brando is a troll. Great story but a shame the original movie was never made.
"I then made another strategic error. I met Val Kilmer." Richard Stanley Says it all, doesn't it... Watch Lost Soul for all the stories about Marlon Brando and Val Kilmer straight from the people that actually had to deal with them. Interesting and well worth the time. ...and no...don't go watching Island of Dr. Moreau before you watch this. It's absolutely horrendous and will scar you for life. Consider yourself warned!
I didn't hear anything of the drama they had during the production of the movie but daaaamn: that was indeed a huge mess. Messed up by an uninterested studio, no strong hand by Richard Stanley, actors up their own ass (Kilmer and Brando) and incomplete location scouting this could never have resulted in the great movie it was dreamed up to be. They certainly don't go easy with the dirt on each other but not everyone is represented. Kilmer isn't in it, Brando died. There is also not a single(!) mention of David Thewlis who declined to appear in the doc. Certainly entertaining gossip and it features a good amount of behind the scenes content. Make sure to watch the 1999 movie first!
