Recapturing some of the magic of the original film, _An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster_ is a fun adventure. In this chapter Fievel teams up with a local reporter who’s attempting to uncover the truth behind a number of monster sightings throughout the city. With the voice talents of Thomas Dekker, Lacey Chabert, and Dom DeLuise, the performances pretty good. And as usually, there are a couple of charismatic musical numbers. Yet, the animation doesn’t have much depth or texture to it. Though it’s not quite up to theatrical standards, _An American Tail: The Mystery of the Night Monster_ is a whimsical family film that’s sure to entertain.
