Like a history book: the American researcher forces GMO on the inhabitants while the colonizing Englishman disembarks, bangs the native women, and tries to overturn the local government.
Really quite boring, with awkward '70s 'B-movie' acting and very awkward editing, especially in the love scenes. The incredibly generic and dated score doesn't help create any atmosphere, either. I had already seen Carrera's previous film, and it's also a kind of schloky sci-fi film, but it's more modern, and plays to its strengths. Despite that it has a lower rating than this one, which I find unfitting from a standpoint of pure enjoyment. This one's story requires a much better execution to be taken seriously, or to be interesting. I made it about 3/4 the way through. If any film is not interesting in the first 20 minutes, there's a slim chance it will turn, but halfway or more and it's just time you'll never get back.
