The passion and the colour are just such a welcome breath of fresh air from the trend of bleak, personality-less movies of today. And I have to say, in a way, the controversy works in his favour too, it adds to the boldness of his films. You don't particularly have to agree with a film's morality to enjoy the way it was made. I have to say I did think the ending was a bit crammed and rushed, that's my one main criticism.
