an entirely original take on quite possibly the most exhaustively covered mythos' of all time. This take on vampires is inspired, original, and pretty damn good shockingly. As a movie, though, the actors seem totally out of their depths and are at best passable. It's frustrating to see such a great plot almost crippled by the actors shortcomings, and it's not just one or two, but every single person appearing in this movie. It doesn't quite ruin the movie, but I could see this being a critical darling with a better cast. Definitely worth a watch, it's actually pretty good- albiet frustrating as this clearly had the potential to be so much more than it ended up as.
