The second watch through and I loved it even more! Robin Williams never fails to amaze me in his many roles that he does and he does me proud in this well made with a deep message remarkable film. I miss you Robin, i'm glad you can still live on in your films.

Kyle (son): I didn't ask to be born, you know. Lance (father): Neither did I. Kyle (son): boo hoo. This scene will stick with me. I think it's a great film, even though some parts are definitely a stratch. It shows us that sometimes we just get what we get, no matter how we try. And sometimes the best thing you could do is to accept it. It also shows how easy it is to create a wrongful cult based on nothing but own wishful thinking. Great movie. And noone could this role better than Robin Williams.

A strong movie with a big twist in the middle. The story starts with a single dad who tries his best but he can hardly control or even communicate with his teenage son. The son is also not very popular at school and not the sharpest knife in the drawer. The dad is a poetry teacher at his son’s high school and does have more of a social life than his son, though he is also very timid and lacks self assurance. Then a big change occurs in their lives and the dad lies to their entourage about it. He then gets deeper and deeper into the lies and does not know howe to get out of it. A strong drama with a Robin Williams that is not, as ever so often, the clown, but plays a serious role. And he nails it. Great movie.
