It was an early pioneer in presenting the west as a desolate landscape, and the first spoken adaptation of The Three Godfathers. This story of seemingly irredeemable men who do the right thing, in spite of recent horrors, ages decently well. It's probably the first time I've been told why the water hole is actually poisoned. If you like westerns or early cinema, the short length helps in recommending it.
