one of the greatest movies ever made
An emotionally touching film, with amazing cinematography, great performances and a poignant story about the importance of cherishing every single moment of life.
The original title of the film is Tôkyô Monogatari.
This is so incredibly boring and although that might make sense (because normal everyday life is boring most of the time) it just doesn’t make a very enjoyable movie. Sure, it’s sad and whatnot, but this has nothing really memorable in it. The most memorable thing might be the boringness of it all.
*Tokyo Story*... the greatest timeless masterpiece by the legendary Yasujirō Ozu, who—in my view—achieved a cinematic marvel (with eleven films receiving perfect scores from critics). *Tokyo Story* is no ordinary film; it explores the perspectives of different generations, revealing how each views life. It is simple and quiet—qualities that set it apart—as it addresses profound themes within a serene narrative framework. Critics regard this film as one of the greatest in the history of cinema, and this view comes as no surprise; it is a true masterpiece worthy of acclaim.
