Easily the best spaghetti Western made in the last 20 years or so.
Starring Sarah Silverman as Sarah Silverman. Seriously tho its a great movie from beginning to end
This film does appear to be one of the many, many Pulp Fiction clones that flooded theaters between 1994 and 1999; however, I believe this film is Post post-Pulp Fiction and has a lot of unique features that surpasses Pulp Fiction in some interesting ways. For example, there is not a lot of direct exposition from the characters to explain all the facets of what's happening. The viewer needs to pay attention to the subtext to get all the details that a clumsier film would have a character 'explain' to someone to help the audience keep up. I've heard several successful TV/movie writers mention this film as one of their favorites. I definitely think it deserves multiple viewings to glean all the unspoken details.
I had been looking for this movie for a long time. I watched it when I was younger, but I couldn’t remember the title. Then I used ChatGPT and voilà just like that, it found it in the blink of an eye. Rewatching it was even better than I expected. The movie has a cool vibe, great tension, and that old school crime energy I really missed. I’m honestly glad I found it again. I loved it.
And bloody and sloppy too.
