If David Cage made a film... it had a few brief inspired moments, and then it added 50 more ideas.

Streamed via Tubi Interesting and intriguing thriller with great suspense. It tackles our unhealthy obsession with celebrities and how we have very little privacy in the digital age. I liked the creativity, the ridiculousness and the presentation used in this film with the constant play on technology. Sasha Grey is the worst thing in this film and it's funny she plays as a terrible actress in here. But Elijah Wood is the perfect cast for his character. Honestly he's kind of the saving grace in this because the whole thing just wouldn't work without him. It has some really cool plot twists that also make absolutely zero sense but I dig it. I enjoyed more than I thought I would although it didn't always hit the mark and was hard to suspend disbelief at times.

My God that was terrible. I can't believe the writer and director of Timecrimes and Colossal created this piece of crap.

It’s like the song that never ends, it just goes on and on, my friends. Guys, this movie should have been a nice little short film that got straight to the point, because the concept wasn’t that bad. Voyeurism is a subgenre in thriller films, as I just finished reviewing the remake of Rear Window. It’s interesting in more ways than one – but this movie just takes it too far, complete with video cameras that can apparently see through walls like Superman’s X-Ray vision – and that’s not even the worst of it. This movie has at the very least three concrete endings. The first one, I couldn’t help but notice was smack dab in the middle of the movie. I was about to get up to do some chores when I realized that there was still 45 minutes left. Then 30 minutes left. Then 15. This movie feels extremely long at 90 minutes because there is absolutely no flow. The first half of the movie could be considered okay if it were to end at that point – but once it drags on, the movie quickly turns to crapitude in the blink of an eye. Why? In my opinion, the film believed whole-heartedly that it required having a twist ending. So instead of having a twist that makes any logical sense, they go on and on trying to explain something that defies logic, and in result, digs itself deeper into a neverending pit of disappointment. I’m sitting here writing this review extremely confused. I was at least somewhat interested in seeing this movie, regardless that on Netflix, it holds a 1/5 star rating. The concept looked interesting, and I am more or less, a fan of Elijah Wood. As I’ve said, the beginning of the movie isn’t bad at all – it hits all the points it needs to in order to prepare you for this cyber world…it just stumbles over itself so many times that I’m almost embarrassed at the fact that I even watched it to begin with. These movies make me question on if I should watch another one…
