A throw back movie, its classic late 90s indie movie feel hits the spot even tho it was made in 07. I get a feeling of some amazing indies like Clerks, High Fidelity, Chasing Amy, and Down to You.

While the movie, and the title, feel a bit like yet another American teen comedy, it is not really that. While it is also fun, it is first of all about girls in their early 20s who look for their path in life. While not super deep, it does address some issues other girls will identify with and does that in an entertaining way. I believe that this is an entertaining watch for all, but particularly for late teen, early twenties girls.

I read a review that said the ratings for this movie were rigged and I 100% believe it. The writing is so cheesy and for a “comedy” it has absolutely no humor. Avoid if you don’t want to watch a “quirky” movie that unironically uses every cliche imaginable.

A sub shop with no dress code Jensen Acklee with mutton chips and a kilt. Bethany joy lenz song! Peyton’s dad on OTH. But let’s be for real. You’re watching this to see Jensen and Daneel fall in love on set, right? Or maybe it’s the topless scene - but you shouldn’t admit that. The main story line annoys me. The side ones are way better. All in all, transport back to an early 2000s teen movie (even though it was mid aughts, it was holding onto the early vibe). It’s a short movie about found family and an easier time.
