Sinopsis
Después de que la intrépida trabajadora Mary Carter se convierta en la nueva dueña de una mansión, presuntamente encantada, ubicada en Black Island, cerca de la costa cubana, un extraño le advierte de que se mantenga alejada del castillo. Sin desanimarse, Mary zarpa hacia Cuba con un polizón en su baúl, Larry Lawrence, un locutor de radio que ayuda a Mary a llegar al fondo de la magia vudú, los zombis y los fantasmas que parecen maldecir la propiedad fantasmal.

The Ghost Breakers, being the second Hope and Goddard outing I watched today, ended up leaning more heavily on the comedy than the horror, but that didn't matter in the slightest. This is just as good entertainment as The Cat and the Canary was. The only gripe I have with it, is that it took almost the whole film to get to the haunted house. Great acting, and marvellous lighting and music made The Ghost Breakers quite the treat.
