Everyone says that the cheezy flashback scenes are terrible, but in my opinion they take me back to 1968. George Martin is Sartana - a single-minded man on a mission of revenge for the murder of his wife. Jack Elam is Slim, the swarthy murderer. Gilbert Roland is Kirchner, a mercenary-type, thrown in just to mix things up. And of course there is Jose, the farmer/bandit/friend. I found this film very spaghetti-ish, especially the sweaty close-ups and Gilbert, chewing on his cigarello and playing a guitar with gloves on.
