ADMISSION was a much better movie than I ever gave it credit for having the potential to be, and I never want to watch it again. This wasn't billed as a romantic comedy, was it? Because the romance was playing about fourth fiddle to other storylines (all of which were much more deserving). Rudd and Fey just don't have chemistry.
With Tina Fey and Paul Rudd I can but feel I wanted substantially more. It does not deliver nearly the laughs we would expect, nor is heartwarming enough to make you feel a certain way at the end, and it's not enough of a romance to appeal to that demographic. It is ultimately just kind of below average at all of them. If you do not watch many movies, I could see someone really enjoying this, but I feel there are far too many comparable movies that are better. Rating: 2/5 - 65% - Not Recommended to Everyone
We generally expect more wacky humour from Fey and Rudd than this comedy, which is packed with perhaps too-smart dialog and a lot of warm sentiment anyway it's a comedy, but a serious comedy.
Likable actors attempt to overcome the lack of jokes. A movie that is worth watching and has a lot of heart but isn't as funny as I was expecting from a Fey/Rudd pairing.
