Not my favorite musical of all time, but pretty durn good. The songs are reasonably memorable (not least the one played by my alma mater's marching band at every football game), the characters are all charming, and the cinematography is beautiful. (Watched an astounding restoration of the Todd-AO version.) It's a little corny, but never over the top. Gloria Grahame is the standout here, and her version of "I'm Just A Girl.." had me rolling in the aisles.
