[Movistar+] While on the surface it's a story about gender identity and the loneliness surrounding the transition process, the apparent simplicity it conveys conceals a complex undercurrent that speaks to bureaucracy, paternalism, hypocrisy, and the fragility of personal relationships. Something as simple and complex as wanting to be oneself is surrounded by so many prejudices, which are subtly revealed in this beautiful and painful short film. The film emphasizes silences, drawing close to the vulnerability of the protagonist for whom the removal of his first name becomes a radical change, for better (for himself) and for worse (for the society around him).
