I really got drawn into Avignon. The atmosphere pulled me in right away, the way the city is filmed feels almost like a waking dream, with meaningful silences, gentle direction, and characters that feel real and relatable. There's a softness to the storytelling, a calm, floating rhythm that gives space for reflection without ever forcing anything. I found it beautiful, simple, and sincere. The film also made me reflect on theatre, the acting world, how others judge you, self-doubt, and what it takes to hold on to your dreams. There’s something very human about it that resonated with me quietly, but deeply. I was a bit disappointed by the ending though. It felt too quick, a little abrupt. I wish it had taken a bit more time to settle, to land gently. But still, I had a really lovely time watching it. It didn’t shake me to my core, but it touched me in its own quiet way and that already means a lot.
