Not great but a good watch. I think it tried to be too clever, but it was fairly predictable. Good performances all around, especially from the daughter who seemed to outshine the rest of the cast.
# Reception and Legacy - Critical Response - Polarized reviews - Praised for premise but criticized for formulaic execution # Themes and Meaning - Guilt and Redemption - Cleaning up literal blood to cleanse metaphorical stains - Systemic Corruption - The 'dirty' nature of the police force contrasting with the protagonist's job - Perspective - The irony of being 'clean' while working in the filth of crime # Cinematography - Visual Style - Sterile, clinical lighting - Sharp contrasts - Gritty urban settings # Narrative Structure - Inciting Incident - Tom Cutler cleans a scene before the police are notified - Key Conflict - Professional ethics vs. criminal conspiracy - Style - Linear procedural with a 'whodunit' mystery framework # Character Analysis - Tom Cutler - Ex-cop, widower - Motivated by guilt and the need for order - Transformation from passive cleaner to active investigator - Eddie Lorenzo - Current cop - Represents systemic corruption - Antagonist figure # Summary Insights - The film uses 'crime scene cleaning' as a potent metaphor for the protagonist's attempt to erase his own traumatic past. - The narrative structure critiques institutional power, highlighting how the 'cleaners' (the police) are often the ones who create the most mess. - The juxtaposition between the sterile, methodical cleaning process and the chaotic nature of murder creates a unique psychological tension. - Tom Cutler’s transition from a neutral observer to a victim of the system reflects the difficulty of maintaining objectivity in a corrupt environment.
This was a good Triller too watch..Samual L. Jackson and Brittney Murphy played the roles well..I like the twist..Good to watch when you want to watch sometime quick to put on
A good thriller. Nothing fancy but a good pastime. Sometimes a lot, perhaps too confusing, shooting toward the end.
