[Cannes '25] There are elements of dark humor and B-movie action genre clichés in the final part, but the overall tone is more serious than it seems, and perhaps for that reason it comes across as somewhat unbalanced, with a curious absence of female characters, who only appear as representations of a longed-for absence. Focusing on character portrayals, the first part addresses smuggling and corruption, to later establish an uneven comedic tone within the meta-narrative that contrasts the representation of heroism with great dramatic effects, with the silent hero imbued with patience and resilience.
