It starts like a weird patchwork of diary entries. "I am Sono Sion, I'm 22, it's that day, that hour that second". Several times. But he doesn't really discuss much of anything apart from that. Then there are two really extended sequences. First he acts like a typical Japanese tv overly enthusiast interviewer. Probably supposed to be interviewing a girl on the street, but we've seen she's one of his friends. He repeatedly grabs her, pushes her, hugs her, while screaming at her. The whole thing is creepy af. Another long sequence where somebody falsely shaves his head and he's alternating between orgasmic and exorcism like reactions. There's no particular graphical appeal due to the 8mm film. So it already feels long after 30s and both seems to go on for more than 5 minutes. Also includes some sequences of him kissing statues. So it's not really a diary, not really a movie, maybe could be considered a kind of art project, but yeah, not really interesting.
