In just 20 minutes, the short film "Rock, Paper, Scissors" creates a more intense and haunting atmosphere than most big-budget war movies. It makes it abundantly clear that there is rarely a happy ending in war. The lead actor, Oleksandr Rudynskyi, delivers a convincing performance as a desperate young man near the front lines in eastern Ukraine. Overall, the film offers a completely authentic glimpse into the mental and emotional states of the Ukrainians most affected by the war. I wholeheartedly recommend this short.
