Interesting movie, no climax because it's literally a paid ad for a TV show; is this what movies are turning into because if so I don't want any part of this. As Bicon said above me, "what the fuck"

Homestead is not a box office hit by design, it aerved as a warning. A warning that chaos and panic strikes, everyone seeks leadership. It takes 1 ambitious, egomaniac and overzealous politician to ruin everything. Leaders don't command, leaders are proven by actions. This is why I rated Homestead high. Because Homestead shows what could happen when an egomaniac politician, like current Democratic politicians who will step up yet ao incompetent, this leader will cause chaos and kill those who go against this leader. It only takes 1 Masterson to ruin it all.

This is a very good movie that ticks a number of boxes for me. If Post-apocalyptic, Prepper, Libertarian type of movies are your thing you'll enjoy this. While watching this, I was thinking this movie would be a good pilot episode for a TV Show. Looks like that's what they are going for. Not surprised by this twist at all. Some of the Yellowstone franchise actors play lead roles here. I would love to see this developed into a show.

It started off strong but WTF was that 2nd half, pace completely died, some romance slop between my wifes son and the 17 yo homeschooled girl and "refugees welcome we can feed them all who needs math" attitude that would get them all killed in real life complete hogwash, sad

0.1, horrible movie, this is a trailer for the real movie the plot is literally nothing I'll describe the movie in a few words [spoiler] Nuke goes off, they make the main character look unhinged and paranoid which makes it seem like he's either gonna blow things out of proportion or be right about the whole thing, things get tense due to lack of food and this main character seems to be the only one who's reasonable, suddenly the guy in charge gets shot his wife suddenly takes over and lets everyone in and the people outside have amazing skills that they did not bring up at all, everyone was like "pls feed me" instead of "if you feed me i can contribute with X Y Z" and movie ends with a few scenes from another movie that will have creatures probably zombies, hinting that the main character was right all along with keeping a perimeter and staying safe even tho the entire movie is them pushing back against it which is the most logical thing to do... There's A LOT of useless dialog and meaningless stuff like, their daughter got a heart transplant... Wow miracles happen, god is real and will help you... Some initial romance, both wives want to be leaders and cant stand their husband's decisions for some reason. A lot of nonsense going on. [/spoiler] I dont rate this a 0/10 because the acting and everything else was alright, it just doesnt have a story its an hour long trailer for the real movie. Note: 1 = Trash; 1.5= Meh; 2= Alright; 2.5=Pretty good; 3 = Amazing.
