Sinopsis
Un inteligente estudiante de ciencias químicas, Eddie Kasalivich (Keanu Reeves), descubre un caso secreto del gobierno para tapar un asunto de espionaje industrial. Eddie forma parte de un equipo de investigación que ha desarrollado una revolucionaria fuente de energía. Justo antes de haber alcanzado sus objetivos de trabajo una explosión destruye su laboratorio, mientras que el jefe de su equipo es misteriosamente asesinado. Eddie es acusado como principal sospechoso, por lo que se pone en contacto con el único que puede ayudarle, un poderoso burócrata (Morgan Freeman) que en un principio no se cree su historia.

Chain Reaction (1996) I think it was quite tense, albeit the scientific plot can be ignored. I have seen worse conspiracy & chase movies. 7/10

Woah Keanu Reeves is totally a scientist, dude. That totally gets framed for murder and is on the run. Chain Reaction is from the director of the Fugitive. Which is fitting since it’s like the Fugitive but with scientists and definitely not as good. Still, it’s not a bad action flick for a bored day at home.

Decent action movie. Some of ideas and motivations just don't make much sense, but there are some cool action sequences, and the gimmick of hanging the plot on clean energy is sound...

When I saw the trailer, I thought "What an interesting movie about science". But then it wasn't that good. They ran around and thats it.
